Welcome to Xi'an Noodles, a beloved gem nestled in the heart of Seattle at 5259 University Way NE. This Chinese restaurant invites you on a culinary journey to the vibrant streets of Xi'an, where bold flavors and the tantalizing aroma of spices are the cornerstones of a satisfying meal.

As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted with a relaxed yet energetic atmosphere that caters to both foodies and casual diners alike. The simple ordering kiosk at the entrance allows for quick service, making it perfect for a lunch break or a hastily arranged dinner with friends. And, as per several customer reviews, you'll appreciate the establishment's commitment to cleanliness, ensuring that your dining experience is not just delicious, but pleasant all around.

The menu at Xi'an Noodles is an exciting showcase of street food inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Northwest China. Popular among locals and visitors alike, the Spicy Cumin Lamb Rice Noodle Soup is a highlight, offering a hearty combination of tender lamb and delectable noodles, simmered in a fragrant broth. For those seeking something unique, the Cold Noodles (凉皮) offer a refreshing twist on traditional flavors, bursting with an intriguing medley of tastes that excite the palate.

Accompany your meal with one of their delightful smoothies — from the luscious Mango Smoothie to the refreshing Honeydew Smoothie, each sip is a taste of sunshine, perfectly cooling for warmer days or cozying up with your noodles on a rainy Seattle afternoon.

For a shared experience, the dumplings are a must-try. The Pork Dumplings (猪肉白菜水饺) and Pork Wontons in Chili Sauce (红油抄手) are consistently praised for their mouthwatering flavors, presenting an array of textures and spices that leave you craving more. One customer, Marissa Beach, shared how sharing the spicy & tingly beef biang noodles and dumplings with a friend made for a perfect evening, highlighting the generous portion sizes ideal for sharing.

Despite its casual vibe, Xi'an Noodles has a charm that appeals to all ages. While some may find the energy tailored for a younger crowd, the buzz of laughter and clattering of bowls creates an inviting dining experience that feels like home—a local favorite that people keep returning to. Robert Wilson encapsulated this sentiment with, “The food arrived quickly, and water was readily available,” emphasizing the efficiency that complements the delightful cuisine.

Whether you're a seasoned lover of Xi'an cuisine or trying handmade noodles for the first time, Xi'an Noodles promises a satisfying experience that fuses tradition with modern dining in Seattle. Remember, good food deserves good company, so gather your friends, dive into a bowl of these tantalizing noodles, and embrace everything that Xi'an Noodles has to offer!

The tomato and egg noodle dish was amazing! We liked the simple ordering kiosk at the door, food arrived quickly, and water was readily available. Also a big shoutout to the cleanliness and design of the restroom, quite nice. Would return for sure.

An iconic local favorite that we come to time and time again. Love the soup, love the dry noodles, love everything about this place; it’s all super delicious and flavorful. One of the first places I recommend people to eat at when in Seattle.

So delicious!!! I've been here multiple times and it’s always a craving especially when it’s rainy! What I love most is that even when I order the dry noodles, they always come with a side of their broth. Plus the food is served up quickly, which is always nice :)

If i lived here, i would be eating here 5 times a week at least. We love a fat noodle. We love a hand cut noodle. We love a good chili oil. Hot oil biang noodle: 11/10 no notes get it

Very casual, it’s actually not bad but it’s not my scene. I think it’s a nice vibe for younger people, so the atmosphere is not for me but it doesn’t mean it’s bad. Really good variety of things to try and they all taste good but the noodles with no meat, I didn’t care for it much.

My friend and I shared the cucumber salad, the spicy & tingly beef biang noodles, and pork dumplings. The mouth watering flavors and serving size of each plate was perfect for us to share.

Delicious but we’ve had better handmade noodles in Seattle and Kirkland. This is a student frequented eatery, ordering is via a kiosk and service is non-verbal and quick. While the noodles were average, the broth and spices were on point.

I tried the Qishan Pork Biang Noodles. The pork was delicious—really well-marinated and flavorful. But the noodles themselves were a bit underwhelming and lacked depth. I did ask for low spiciness (they give you that option), so that might have affected the overall flavor. Still, I feel like even with less spice, the dish shouldn’t lose its character or impact.
